Nine Nine O eight

Why is six afraid of seven?
Because seven eight nine.

Where has the time gone? I haven't posted cause nothing 'specially scrap-tacular has occurred. I am actually in a gathering mode because on October 12th I will be in Livingston at a scrap retreat. It sends horror into my heart to find myself there without many many projects to keep me busy. So for now, I have been gathering and thinking and plotting.
On the home front-the boy is fully into his year as a First grader!! He is growing up so much. I am so proud of him as we read in Spanish each night and he is able to tell me what the words and sentences mean. For those who are worried, he is also reading in English. If you think about it, school is really amazing. If it were not for the work of these fabulous women and men, our kids would really be up a creek. While we are working at our jobs, they are molding and supporting our future-mind blowing really. He has an extended day program he goes to each day. He also has enrichment (that means dad paid for additional stuff to do on top of what mom paid for extended day). He goes to karate twice a week and tennis one day. He calls enrichment "Richmond" which cracks me up every time! He has baseball practice tonight-his first baseball experience!! He will also be in football. These were all things the boy wanted so we will see if we can fit 4 sports into one small week this year.
Me? Work work work. I have been busy. Yesterday something weird occurred and I literally could not keep my eyes open. I went home early and slept for 3 hours, got up and made dinner and was back in bed all night. I took some meds the day before so maybe they were still floating around my head but whatever it was-I am rested today!!
I have been cooking a lot. I made Paula's chicken poblano chowder and it was yummo. I also made southwestern egg rolls. I made the insides and I will roll them tonight. I made a three layer cake which was not very memorable. That was for the in-laws who brought back the boy-they took him for the weekend. Love that!!
Everyone have a great week.

Don't be too worried about not having enough projects to do. I have plenty for both of us!
