Mom

This is my mom. She is just as adorable as she looks. Like all mothers and daughters, we have definitely had our hard times but as with all mothers and daughters, the older I get, the more I appreciate all that she did for me and my sister. She is an awesome cook, a great listener, has a tremendous heart, determination, and just fun! My dear hubband always talks about how easy she is to get along with and travel with. This is a huge compliment because as my Dad says, fish and people stink after about 4 days. That means if you travel with anyone or spend an extended time with just about anyone, the can get on your nerves. We always enjoy time with her.
Saturday my mom came over and I took her to lunch and the did a bit of shopping. I was trying to find her oohing and aahing over something and I could get it for her. Unfortunately for her... the shopping mojo was not with either of us and I was able to get her a cute top only! We came back home and I was able to make her some dinner-a new dish-thanks for trying it mom! We watched TV, relaxed and baked some treats for my Aunt Berva that I desperately need to visit soon!
Anywhoo Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers, grandmothers and mothers to be. I keep thinking of dear friends who have lost mothers or are desperate to be mothers. This day can be so bittersweet. Love to you all. Special squeeze to my mom-the BEST.
